1942 Barbizon Silk Satin Slip

Finding dead stock pieces  in perfect unworn condition, will always feel like a true treasure to me!! This 80 year old gal has never ever gotten her day to play! And she is way too pretty to be left in a corner. 1941 Barbizon silk satin slip in sumptuous sea foam WITH her paper tag. 
Barbizon was established in 1933 and known for making high quality women’s lingerie in their very own trademark fabrics. This satin seraphim was created in 1937. The company eventually was sold to Vanity Fair in 1991. 
Cut on the true bias, she is labeled a 38 but her flat meashys are a 41 bust, up to a 41 waist , up to a 49 hip, 10.5 armscythe, 60 length at longest, and a detached braided belt. Luxury loungewear or beautiful outerwear… either way, she’s a total find!
